I live in Oregon where the green of the landscape rivals those of Ireland. I have two children, a married daughter (33) and a son (31). My daughter married in December and now lives in England with her hubby. My son is still in Bakersfield. He currently works in construction.€‚ I moved to Oregon about 10 1/2 years ago with the plan of marrying my love, settling in and getting set to retire. The first two happened, the last didn't yet. The marrying part ended about two years ago which changed the route I was on. I've worked in the community relations and communications in our local school district for the past 10 years. Before moving north I was at Bakersfield City Schools for 13 years. Unfortunately the retirement plans didn't merge so I'm still working but the good part is, I love my job. We handle everything from community events, to crisis in schools, to having to close schools because of snow. Something new everyday. My vacation time has taken me to some pretty amazing places. I've gone on a couple cruises. One to Alaska - it was so beautiful. Another was to the various island...Expand for more
